I read another post that was going where I'm going with this but it ended to quickly. I have a 1966 chevelle all around drum brakes and I've never had an ebrake. When I bought the car the only thing that it had was the e brake pedal and the front cable. I've now obtained a new front cable, intermediate cable, equalizer, rear cables and connectors along with some big and small s hooks. I'm hoping someone can show me some pics or explain how the cable runs. It looks like the rear cable may go up throw a hole on the higher part of the frame but I'm not sure? Does the intermediated cable go over the exhausts and under the driveshaft or over both? Where do I use the big S hooks versus the small s hooks? I would love some help. Thanks in advance.

An assembly manual is the Bible of the hobby, purchase one and your questions and prayers will be answered. I know, not the answer you wanted, do a search.

Have you pulled a drum off? Be sure you don't have c-clip eliminators. The block won't let you get the e-brake cable in the drum. :noway:

thanks, those were all great answers. i was just glad to get a reply. i would definetely like to see the pics to check against what I did although inlinetube.com did have some really cool stuff to go by. it just took me a while to negotiate their site, they have some really great products and features. thanks to them after staring at my drum for an hour (like that of a caveman staring at fire for the first time) i did figure out that i am missing the "parking brake shoe" (arm, lever) whatever you want to call it that the cable clips into it. first i tried my local chevy dealer and the wanted about $38 bucks per lever. at inlinetube i managed to get both shoes for that with shipping. probably threw the old ones out like a dumby a few years ago.
