anyone using that set up, it addresses a concern i have about roller lifters. never had a roller in a car engine but old harleys had a similer setup that i have had come apart more then once to the engines detriment. I would LIKE to try them but can't find anyone who has used them. advice anyonethanks

I've got a friend who has them in both of his stock eliminator cars. The nice thing about them(I think) is that you can reuse them on a new cam.
I don't believe they build a memory with a specific cam.
On hyd. cams they don't have pump up problems like regular lifters and they're supposed to be indestructible on solids.
Unless your tearing down every year like those guys are, I'm not sure they are worth the $750 price tag though.
But they are good.

I have a set that is going in my 496 but I have just finished the shortblock so it will be a while before they get run. Just for the info, when my rotating assembly was being balanced I had my machinist weight them and they were 50 grams each versus 96 grams for a lunati solid. After losing my 396 to bad lifter/cam issues the extra money was worth the piece of mind. I spent more money having to rebuild my 396 than it would have cost in the beginning just to buy these lifters, but some people say for the money you could go roller but the roller lifters sometimes come apart with lots of street driving/idling.

well after talking to Joe Schubeck (another great guys, seems the car world is full of them ) i decided to go with his Roller X lifters. they will be going in the 496 i am building. unfortunatley it will be a while before I have the engine together and in a car so...
wish i could find someone using them. i have googled a few stories, pro and con but all of the "guy i knew who knew a guy" variety

We have used quite a few sets of the schubeck lifters with no problems in circle track engines we run a lot more seat and over the nose pressure then with a std. lifter.
