I'm using an 8" Fluidampner. If I had it to do over again, I would get an ATI though.

Reason why to go to an ATI instead?

I have a 498, bored 70 instead of 60 over. I'm using an ATI super dampner, the only thing if you use on of these it will most likley need to be honed for proper fit. Mine was about 2 thousants too small. Believe me after breaking two installer tools and one remover tool, Mic the crank snout and the inside of the damper. We used a regular brake hone and one of those sand paper wheels with the flaps of paper on it, took about 45mins and got it perfect. I believe standard crank snout for bbc is 1.5993 or something really close to that.

Yeah, Fluidampner is out of business. Had to have mine honed out too, I also broke one of the installer's. I've heard a lot of good things about the ATI dampners also. Anymore ?'s just ask.
