I am looking at buying a DD2000 as I am contemplating a BBC build and wouldn't want to wast everyones time here. Anyway, I have heard that the HP numbers are a tad bit optimistic. When they say "optimistic" do you mean 5-10HP or 50-100HP. Any other good dyno programs that are in the $10-50 Range?

TIA,
Chris

Desktop 2000 is definitely a bit optimistic! But if you do buy it, put as much info "in" as you can. Exact cam specs, head flow numbers, compression, ect. I put all that info in and Desktop Dyno was about 50 h.p. optimistic on an 800+ h.p. motor. I heard the newer programs out now are very close. But it all depends what you put "in" also.
