I am trying to get my curve right. Now I want an idle of 900 so I have a spring kit that has a curve of 900 to about 3000 or so. Mr gasket part number 929g. Will this work and if not anyone have a kit number for me. I can't find anything on mr.gasket or summit racings site with a curve of 1000 to 3200 or something like that. I thought being above my idle would be best but maybe once I get this setup my idle will be below 900 and will take care of my issue. Now I think the 929g will give me 17 degrees at 3000.

i have a 292 244@50 530 int/exh cam. 750 dbl holley, rpm performer, aluminum 195cc afr heads. I'm setting it up with medium springs 600-2800 curve. Max rpms will be 6000.

what kind of distributor? the springs won't change the total degrees of advance,,just how fast or how slow it will advance.

accel hei. Yep that is what I want for it to change the curve range. The advance will now start at 900 and end around 3000 or so the chart that came with the kit suggest. It looks like about 17 degress of advance comes from it as well. My issue is now I have mechanical advance happening in idle so it is messing up my timing. The goal is to bump this curve up so I can set base timing etc and have good settings instead of false readings like I have now.
