We are getting a glass euro shower enclosure, and the glass company is pushing some coating called ShowerGuard that is applied with the tempering heat treat. They say it keeps glass from etching and getting nasty. My wife makes me squee-gee every time anyway, anyone have any experience with this coating? It's an extra $186....

The place that made our shower door told us to use Rain-X and it works great.
