I have been looking for a while for a 68-70 but recently have drifted to the 66-67 generation. I'd like your evaluation of this car and what it's worth and any comments on any downside to moving to the 66-67.

You've all been very helpful in helping a new guy buy a car long distance.

It looks nicely done, dont know about the tire and wheel combo. Those guys generally put out good quality cars. I like it.

Gary - That car is leaps and bounds above the two that I looked at in Des Moines for you. I'm no 67 expert but that looks like a pretty nice car to me. This dealer obviously isn't afraid to show photos of the "problem areas". My guess is that car will go into the low 30's (but what do I know!).

I think I would still get a pair of eyes to take a close up look at it for that kind of $'s...

Oh yeah - the wheels and tires....they've got to go!

Its a very pretty and appealing car. But no matter what a person thinks of it you'll have to agree...it's refreshing to see an eBay auction that actually shows the car to the extent this seller has. Good description with lots and lots of good detailed photos. This is the way an auction should be...if you're not trying to hide something!

I can definitely see why you'd consider a 67. This car is superb!

It's a nice car for sure, but I think we need to take a closer look at the body and chrome alignments, it looks to me that both doors, fenders, hood, trunk and driver side quarter panel extension is way out of wack, for that much work and cash it should be prefect. IMO

For low 30's, you'll never get a sure loser with this one.

Somewhat agree on the alignment issue though,if they'd put a few more extra hours on that issue, it could even get a mid/high 40K car.

Gary,
We love our '67 and hope you make the leap to choose one of the 66/67 cars. I did notice that the car in the auction did not have seatbelt retractors in the front nor were the rear seat belts displayed. It also has some trim and gap alignment problems as has already been mentioned.

From the photos it is an impressive car. Go see it in person.

Change the Wheels if you purchase it.

Good Luck!

I was thinking the same, the front left fender and drivers door dont fit at all. There is a close up of the front of the fender and the molding dose not fit right either. Front left collision repair??

5 days to go and it is over $26,000.
Looks like a nice car in the pics. I agree with the above, get someone to look at it in person.

It probably will not meet the reserve.

If they went to all the trouble to rebuild this car, why no factory gauge dash?
