I have just installed a 130 gph Holley pump, 140 gph fuel filter, and a holley regulator ( 4.5-9 psi). My engine has been running out of fuel at the top end of the quarter...a few pops. It was suggested that I increase my fuel flow to the carb. So I replaced my non-regulated 110 gph Holley fuel pump, and cheapo fuel filter. My new set up reads about 6.2psi at 2000 rpms. When I activate my nitrous system (bottle closed). My fuel pressure drops to 5.5. Should I adjust the pressure regulator so that my fuel pressure at 2000 rpms reads at least 7 psi. I want to make sure that I don't run out of fuel at the top end when my nitrous is activated? Is 7 psi. at 1000- 2000 rpms too much fuel pressure for my combo (below)?
Thanks,
Daniel
