Look at all that pretty Arlington primer.

That lifting bracket has me scratching my head though.

Oh no John will be painting his lift brackets orange soonl:)

Look at the color of the bottom of the car with the red oxide primer on it. And look at the color of the gas tank straps (Black).

Beautiful car. However no story, about why it is so clean, with such low mileage. With a car this unique, I would have thought the description, and story, would be 8 paragraphs. Does the underside look like its been "touched up" or is it just me? Nice car, none the less.

How can someone sell a 70 ls6 car that was bought buy his dad and has all the papper work to prove it? i mean that car should rot with his familiy,if it was my car it would be priceless! no amount of money could buy that car from me,he will regret it, even more so when his dad passes.I know i would, making me sick just thinking about it.

I agree completely. At least the truth is still out there! it's a shame though, i hope the potential buyer knows what he has there and knows what NOT to do with her to de-legit her.

but beautiful car.

I believe both black or natural gas tank straps are original finishes

Larry, I think your talking about the blue one on Ebay. This post refers to the Green one. It was purchased new by his uncle not his father but very interesting none the less.

When you build a car, and become intimate with one to the point of touching every nut and bolt and thinking through every point of finished detail, you build a bond with a machine that only few can imagine.

Get one tossed in your lap and alot of people don't feel the same......

It's worth how much? Then straight to Ebay.

Maybe for you, but while i'm intimate with them, all I'm seeing is $$$$$$ :hurray:

I agree, if my dad purchased this car new it would be in the family even when I'm gone. Obviously there is something wrong with the seller. Maybe he is wanting to sell so he can buy a really "Green" car.:(:noway::confused:

For what it is worth, if this car is the real deal (which I have no reason to believe it isn't), I would think the seller would be putting hundreds of QUALITY photos online to show just how good this car is. I suppose he figures anyone who is serious is going to be coming to see the car in person. Still, it would be nice, for posterity purposes, to see some detailed, close-up photos of another low mile survivor. (What am I saying...I'm starting to sound like John  )

You guys are too much. You have lots of questions about the car. Well, why doesn't somebody call old Harry and ask him how much he has it for sale for locally. I'm sure he knows exactly what the car is worth.
Questions, contact Harry 478-256-3372

You have to imagine that after all those years of sitting without being driven, of course there is going to be surface rust. That's why the underside was touched up. It's common sense.

The seller has stated in the description that the underside paint is all original. There is no truth in advertising ;)

It looks like someone got a pretty good deal on this car. I'm surprised the seller let it go for that $$$. I know the pictures were not that good but this car looked like what it was advertised as, a "survivor". Much more so than 95% of the cars that have been touted as such. I think anyone trying to get over 100K for a restored car (LS6) is just kidding themselves in this market. Just my opinion.

I can think of a few VERY recent ones that were well over $100k, some of which I have been involved in. They were private sales but real none the less. The "real and high quality" restored cars are still demanding top dollar and there are buyers out there willing to pay for correctly restored and documented cars. The ones that were quickly thrown together for a quick e-bay or B-J auction are not nor should they be. JMO

Rick, Were you aware of the green car in this post? From the limited pictures what do you think of it's authenticity? I still amazes me that these low mileage cars are still out there and pop up from time to time. I think this car looks like a 15,000 mile car should like if it was stored indoors all of its life. It appears to be quite a bargain compared to the Green with white interior car for $155,000 don't you think?

Thank you Rick for you insight and knowledge of the market. My Cranberry Red 56,000 mile LS6 car is completely restored. It has ALL its original drivetrain, body panels and glass. Never any body work or rust.I will never sell the car but in the last month I had an unsolicited offer of 110K and of course turned it down. I have 2 original build sheets,POP,ownersw manual.pre delivery dealer inspection report, and sales agreement. These cars are unique and the real ones are much sought after. Quite frankly all my cars are completely and correctly restored because in my mind a "Survivor" is just an old used car and IMHO does nothing for me as far as making it more desireable.

Sold!!! for $75000. Seems like a pretty good deal to me. You can restore any cobbled up car to look like new. They are original only once and most muscle cars were beat to death.

Correct me if I am wrong but is this not the same car that was discussed in this thread. Seems it is for sale again.

Look's like the same car. I am going to be in Vegas during the auction, I will have to get a look at it.

It seems the auction was never really valid in the first place if the car is showing up now with just about the same description. The winning bidder seems to have jumped up the bid quite a bit on this car with no takers above his "WINNING" bid. It probably happens more often than not these days. I hope this guy has his bidders in place out in Vegas or he'll be leaving that car on stage for significantly less.
