I have a 540 that is setup for a blower with 8-1 pistons.Brand new motor never started.I just sold the blower setup and was wondering if I can run this with the 8-1 pistons?I still have the 10-1's I had in it before I put the motor together for the blower.They are floating pins so changing the pistons really won't be a big deal.How about leaving the 8-1's and using a 150 HP shot of nitrous.

I'd put the 10-1 pistons back in. What are the cam specs.? Most of the lower compression pistons (8-10 to 1) are of the high silicon variety and can't take much nitrous use.
