we are restoring a 1969 chevelle SS for my daughter and she wants something cool across the windshield
any suggestions?
shes only 17 so nothing vulgar please.........

Sorry I personaly dont like the windshield saying stuff. Kinda reminds me of a redneck truck.

I am not a big fan of sayings on windshields but I did alway think MOVE OVER written backwards was kinda funny

To avoid the talking on cell phone problem make it a 4 speed. :D

As to the topic. I am not overly fond of letters on the windshield but the move over picture was pretty funny.

How about in small print, so it's just above the rear veiw mirror and maybe a few inches on either side. "Rice, it's what's for dinner" :)

Something I saw on a back window that cracked me up, while driving with my then 13 year old daughter (16 this October), "If you must ride my a$$, at least pull my hair". I don't think she got it back then.

That car is too CLASSY to put something TRASHY across the windshield.

But, it's her car and she can do with it what she pleases. If she must, I would put something that lets others know that it's her car and it's a '69 Chevelle.

Frankly Michelle, since there will be a 17 year old young woman driving a '69 Chevelle, that's already more attention than I'd want my daughter getting while driving. Making her even more noticable, and memorable, would just scare me.

I even nixed the idea of personal plates on my daughters car. Too many nuts out there.

"Built not Bought" will have a double meaning when a female is behind the wheel. Think about it.

I had a "redneck" truck that had "Get In Set Down Shut Up and Hang On" on it in small white letters. I got alot of compliments on it and it didnt take away from the rest of the truck.

I do like SHEVELLE alot though...very fitting for a 17 year old girl.

I wanted a "Chevelle SS" banner on mine when I was 16, but I quickly grew out of the that kinda stuff

With the way things are now days. Im not sure drawing too much attention to a 17 year old girl is a good idea. Is this a "fun" car for her or her daily driver. Does she have a regular car to drive around when the weather isnt so nice.

If its just a fun car for her. I say do whatever you like. Your out with the car to be noticed when you take it out.
