For the MCC Club, and please pass it on to the MCC Club members who are not active on Team Chevelle.
I would like to thank the members of the Maryland Chevelle Club for chosing me as their 'pick' for the award they give out each year at the Can-Am Northern Gathering.
If there is one thing I have learned over the years being involved with ACES, Team Chevelle, and many of the other Associate Clubs it is that the judge of one's classic is not necessarily about the size of their wallet.
I realized many years ago that no-one should ever be worried that their car isn't good enough to bring to a show. Each of our prized classics stands out on their own weather it be a numbers matching pristine restoration, a modified monster, or just a Chevelle that means alot to its owner.
I love my Chevelle with all it faults and blemishes. It is our Family Fun Cruiser. We just really enjoy loading it up with the kids putting the top down and having fun. The kids will always get burnouts... upon request whenever they want:thumbsup:.
This car also has been the medium for my family to meet and become friends with great people from all corners of the country.. and that is what truely makes this hobby grand.
As for that Maryland group... boy can that be a dangerous gang:p. I stumbled accross their circle of chairs late friday night into a birage of madness, what a great time they have at these events and their high spirits are contagious.
Again I'd like to thank the members of the MCC, the recognition really does mean alot to myself and my wife Michele. You guys really made it a special trip for all of us this year...Thank You.
