: Who's going to the ACES/CECCO Northwest Regional?

We're heading out to Portland, Oregon Thursday for the newly relocated ACES/CECCO Northwest Regional. We're pretty excited about this event, and hope the 5-hour relocation south (previously held in the Seattle area) will attract more folks from Northern California, Nevada, Idaho, and of course, Washington.

The CECCO has been hosting their own event for the past several years, so they already have a good following and reputation. The park where they hold the event is pristine, and the weather report looks like low 80s and plenty of sunshine. Perfect!

Unfortunately, we're flying out rather than driving the '66 wagon, but maybe next year we'll give it a shot. Just too much time out of the office this year, especially with the Mid-America Regional and the Northern Regional coming right on the heels of this event. Naturally, I'll have my cameras with me for event coverage, and to shoot ACES Member's cars for features in upcoming issues of Chevelle World Magazine. Hope to see a lot of our friends from the Pac NW, and make a few new ones as well.

See y'all there this weekend.

That's great, Tom! We'll see y'all there. Not quite as much fun without a Chevelle, but like any ACES event, betcha won't have any problem hookin' a ride on the cruises.

I'll be there on Saturday. I hope this thread isn't an indication of how many will be there. If so, the five of us will have fun.

I'm sitting in the Phoenix airport right now waiting for my next flight to Portland. Only another 2 hours of doing nothing  At least I found a wireless internet conneciton.

Sad thing is, we have TONS of traffic on this board for the guys near Seattle, but a big "0" for anything south. Is anyone from the NW forum coming down AND bringing their car? I know I already have hotel reservations for Yesterdays show. Besides the Team Chevelle banner is still up north, get it down here for the show.

I just got home about a half hour ago. I'll try and post some pics tonight...later on. All I can say is a big  to the Oregon club. Their hospitality was like none other. Myself and Donnie had an awesome time.

I think the show turned out great. Weather was sunny both days. Saturday was games and activities and Sunday the big show. I heard 161 entrants. It was great meeting Tom and Donnie from the east coast. There were also other folks from around the US there as well as Chuck! Thanks for making the trip. I have some photos, but Tom might do a better job of posting his.

Holy cow Tom!!
You walked all around my car, and not once did you mention the color was almost identical to yours!!
I have seen pics of your car but didn't make the connection this weekend.
It was real nice meeting you and Donnie, I have to say though Donnie doesn't talk much does he.
One day when I am at DINK status (double income no kids) I'll have to make a few trips back east and see how you folks run things.

I agree completely. My brother-in-law and I brought cars from Spokane and it was well worth the trip. Once of the best organized shows that I've ever attended.

Greg,
I will have to second that coment. A very well organized event. I was only able to attend the event on Sunday. There was at leat half a dozen Oregon members that attend our Seattle event last year.
