Hello TCer's! I have a few questions about power valve plugs.
Who on here uses power valve plugs?
When should you use them?
What are the pros and cons?
Are there any performance gains?
Thanks
Aaron

Maybe for all out drag racing, but that's it. Using one means you'll have to jet up, and that will throw your carb's calibration all out of whack for street driving, and kill your mileage. No idea what kind of gain you'd get in a full throttle race situation. If you drive your car on the street, don't do it.

Most everyone I know uses a PV in the front and a plug in the rear. I don't think you'd gain any ET with plugs in both.

yea//I use a PV in front and a plug in da back..my carb builder did it this way...he also uses jet extensons...probably not needed..

OK thanks ZZ69chevelle, Pat, and bigjim. My spark plugs are fouling out, but will proably just go with a lower rated PV in the front and possible the plug in the back. Like you guys said.
Thanks

If you put a plug in the back go up 6 jet sizes in the rear to make up for the p/v enrichment passages you just closed off. The milage won't change much unless you're in the back barrels a lot. What's a lot? :D
