I swear I have seen these somewhere. The face plate looks like an old 2-knobber and then it flips down and it's a CD player. Anyone know what I'm talking about or where I can get one? thanks!

Not sure if I have seen that, but there are a few outfits around that will refurbish your old AM radio, install new electronics, and A/V inputs so that a cd changer can be connected to, and controlled by, your "old" radio. It looks like an old radio because it IS on the outside, but the guts are all modern. This may be your best bet if you wish to keep the stock appearance. I will probably go this route myself, but I have bigger fish to fry with my car right now. As in paint and bodywork... lol

Good luck...

Here is a company that supplies radios with inputs, but they aren't cheap.

Hey James, I had my 67 AM converted to AM/FM with aux a few months back, had a little problem but John at Classic Car AM Radio Upgrades, http://mysite.verizon.net/vze6kave did me right and I like what I got.

thanks guys! the only problem is that my original head unit is long gone. i have a modern unit in there now. im not super concerned that it be original to my car or even a chevy just old looking, if that makes any sense. that 70-72 radio with inputs is very enticing though!
