I posted this under electrical but received no response. Maybe someone here can help.

The windshield washer on my '67 isn't working. On taking it apart, I found that there is no gear or cam installed on the end of the motor shaft that drives the washer pump. Bubba must have forgotten to put it back in.

This is a two speed, three terminal wiper motor and a two terminal washer pump. Inside the washer pump body, there is a white plastic or nylon part. It looks as if this part should slide to activate the pump when pushed on by a gear or cam on the wiper motor shaft. That gear or cam that fits on the wiper motor shaft is the part that is missing.

Can anyone tell me what this gear or cam looks like? Is it made of white nylon or metal? How many teeth or lobes? And does anyone know where I can get one of these, new or used? Thanks.

Readily available replacement part from most of the suppliers you see here, NPD, GU, OPG, Year One, etc.etc. Not that expensive either.

If you are trying to repair an original, PM me and I'll see if I have an old unit around I can let go. But the shipping will cost you more than a replacement new one with ALL new seals and parts in it.

Herb, my washer pump may be good. It makes a clicking sound when power is applied. The only part I need is that gear or cam (which I think is white and has four teeth) that fits on the shaft of the wiper motor, which activates the washer pump. I have checked various suppliers and can't find one that sells that part. Would you have an extra one of those around?

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, working 7day weeks.

I'll check as soon as I can get a day off. About 2 weeks out. Sorry.
