What can make an electric fuel pump quit working? Do they short out inside or do they just get stuck somehow. Once they quit making noice and don't pump anymore are they junk. It's just a crappy little Carter fuel pump, probably time for a new one anyway. I wish I could move the car around though.

could be a bad ground. ,also could be some rust from the tank stuck in it if you dont have a filter befor it
