Hey, hope this is the right forum for this otherwise mods can you move it to the correct one.... ok anyways, I have the frame dimensions for my 64 however there isnt a reference to where the rear axle centerline is. The cars rear suspension was completely modified by the previous and very idiotic owner, they actually cut up the 12 bolt and the rear suspension pickup points to make the car sit on leaf springs!!! Anyways I am gonna back half the car so I need this critical measurement to get the chassis setup correctly and I cant find it. the closest measurement it gives me in the shop manual is 127.46" from the core support hole to the hole in front of the coil spring upper retainer. I have absolutely no idea where the axle centerline should be from that point or any other point on the car. I know that the hole dead center in the engine cross member is the vehicle centerline and I will be setting the chassis up from that spot on a frame jig. Can anyone give me a measurement so that that I can get the frame jigged hopefully soon and start on my project? Its hard to believe that all the frame dimensions leave that out since it is fairly important to know that the axle is square and sitting in the right spot but the stuff I have leaves it out. So if you have it and it can somehow be verified that its correct ie; I can measure from two spot on the frame to make sure Im square, please chime in. THanks guys
