I'm installing Fast Kits in these 450 vac sec tunnel-ram carbs. I replaced everything, and I have some stuff left over. Maybe you guys can help identify (I assume that these parts may not be necesary for this application).

2) square cork gaskets about 1/2" x 1/2"

2) rubber grommets (?) maybe for the fuel tube that connects the fuel bowls. I thought thats what the o-rings were for.

4) curly plastic things. I assume for the throttle shaft? Does the shaft need to be completely dissassembled to install?

1) red rubber thing (looks like a big tack). I assume it functions as a check valve.
Thanks

the square cork gaskets go between the secondary vacuum pod and the main body. hard for me to describe, but you will notice that the center portion is cut out and is the only portion used.

you are correct on the grommets and curly plastic things, and yes you have to disassemble the baseplate.

the red rubber things are the check valve for the accelerator pump in the later holleys. the earlier versions used an actual check ball.

Thanks Rat.

One other question - the accel. discharge nozzle: the only gaskets that would fit was these 2 metal washer/gasket things. There was paper on there originally. Does this sound correct?

Thanks

no problem, the "shooters" use a paper gasket, in my kit there were enough of these gaskets to do like 3 carbs.

the metal ones wont work, especially on the top side of the shooter. the gasket needs to be able to conform to the taper of the screw head.

they should look like this, ive also seen where they were dark gray or black in color.
