Anyone going to this show this weekend? Thinking of coming up and making a weekend trip out of it. Is it worth attending?

Ed, I think that's the same weekend as the Niagra Falls show that the Can-Am Chevelle club puts on, probably be poorly attended by the Chevelle folks.

I'll be on my way home from the CanAm show that day.

I will probably be going...lots of Chevelles and Camaros :thumbsup:

I'd like to check it out one of these years, but they keep doing it the same weekend as the Can-Am Northern Chevelle Gathering in Niagara Falls. We're not leaving the Can-Am show 'till Sunday at about 1PM, puts me to GU after the show ends... oh well.

There's another big local show that's fallen the same day the past three years. I've always hit that one because it's in a nice big grass field on the banks of the CT river, this year it's the GU show for me, it'll be my 1st.;)
And it looks like the weather is finally gonna break around here.:yes::hurray:

You bringing two cars and talking about leaving the Chevelle overnight at GU for the weekend .... or the area in general? When you coming up? there's a decent cruise at a Hooters on Friday about 15 mins from GU and another on Sat at a BK near by.
I wouldn't leave the car overnight where the show is :noway:, it's a small industrial type park not too far from trouble. Where you staying? I know the area well and will know if your car is safe there , or if your bringing two cars and want to park the 70 while your sight seeing , I'm about 20 mins away and If you need a place to keep it, my driveway is yours to use.
You know.... If you hadn't bought that 70 I was going to. ;):) I'm trying to remember.... E-Bay??? if so I was either right behind you in the bidding, or was waiting and trying to get it for about a G less than you bid.
The car was close to me and I was looking for a driver for my son Ryan, If I remember it went for right around 9-10K ?

Seb, Sounds like the same car :yes: I havent made any reservations yet we were trying to find out some info on the area. We will be driving up the Chevelle only and the plan was to come up saturday and leave sunday after the show. Any hotel reccomendations in the area?

Yeah it's the car , I followed it closely and was glad to see you get it , if not me :thumbsup:
this (http://www.hawthorne-inn.com/) is the only place near by that I would consider :thumbsup: but other than that, the Berlin TPK is loaded with chain Hotels, you just have to be careful ....lots of gentlemans clubs along the same stretch of road.
I have never stayed there but it looks like a better place for a family to stay, than most I see in that area.

Sundays are tough for me to plan anything.
I take an injection Saturday nights that 9 times out of 10 knocks me on my ass on Sunday & usually I don't even get out of the house.(Ok sometimes I'll get out to the garage to listen to the 454 run)

Hopefully this Sunday will be the 1 out of 10:D

hop on the Merritt and follow it all the way to Rte 691, 691 West to the first Exit (Broad St), right on the bottom of the ramp , a couple miles or so to Golden st on the Left :thumbsup:

Thanks and right back at you guys it was nice to finally meet up with you. We had a pretty good trip back it only took just over 2 hrs and the chevelle ran great. Hopefully I can catch up another show and have more time to bs
