: 67 Freemont car build sheet locations????
plain 69 Jul 6th, 08, 12:16 AM We have never found the build sheet to my Dad's 67 yet. It was built in late 1966 at the Freemont CA plant. We haven't taken the carpet up, seats have not been touched, kick panels, door panels never removed. The gas tank has been removed though and it was not there. Would be nice to find out a little more about the car. We have had it since 1977.
Car has a 1970 402 Crate engine, Numbers matching M-20 Trans, CI code 12 Bolt with 3.73 posi, bench seat 4-speed, gauge package, floor clock, kick panels speakers, AM-FM radio.
Where have the Freemont cars build sheets been found most of the time.

I asked this question a while back.
66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE Jul 6th, 08, 1:23 PM seats, under carpet, .. check closely and gingerly.. again.. FREMONT 67 is the question ;)
67slowpoke Jul 13th, 08, 1:15 AM I found mine under the carpet underlayment on the drivers side front. I did get it out in one piece, but it was ripped where someone had folded in in half and ripped it as they set the crease in the paper. Never found the missing piece. Dated 09-28 Order Number 80469 Dealer 475 Peninsula Chev CO, Forest and High Sts, Palo Alto Calif
I know it came out of my car and it's the right one, but, I don't really see a full vin number on it for me to prove to someone it's for my car. I've owned four other Fremont cars and never found a built sheet in them, including two SS ones. I've had this car since the late seventies and it was all original when I got it, well less the engine. Good luck looking
supersport6667 Jul 13th, 08, 11:58 PM I have a 67SS was made in may of 67. I found the interior broadcast sheet in the bottom of the pass side bucket. Its not the buildsheet but does tell U the interior options ordered on the car. There was no gas tank or carpeting in the car when I got it.............
angelglo Nov 30th, 08, 1:27 PM sorry for bringing up an old thread. i just wanted to add to this. i found my soft trim broadcast sheet under my rear seat from the fremont plant. aside from the interior that it show that it came with, it also told me that mine was ordered with an M21 tranny. it was also explained to me that since i had the m21 and a 138, i could have the 350hp or the 375hp since the M21 was not offered in the 325HP model. knowing the my car was too early for the 375, we concluded my car was a 350HP.
here is the thread

66 MYSTERY CHEVELLE Nov 30th, 08, 3:30 PM Every 4 speed Transmission was an OPTION... You were not limited to an M-21.. so the fact that your car has/had an M-21 does not in my opinion tell you or indicate what HP engine you received. Others may disagree.
No records indicate any 67 SS got an M-22 however.
angelglo Nov 30th, 08, 4:18 PM well, i guess that leaves that thread still with my original questions. from what cam had said, and no one posting otherwise, lead me to believe that i had a 35hp. again, it was just purely out of curiousity as im sure everyone wants to know what kind of options their cars came with.
