I have a Car cover like the style from Ausleys. I really need to wash it but I can't find any directions on how to wash it. I am taking it to the Laundry tomorrow so any advice would be great.

Don't use a powder. Liquid only.

Just washed 2 of my covers this week. No big deal. I stuffed in my home washer and set it at delicate cycle. Throw a little soap in, just happen to be liquid, have used powder before also.. At that position it soaks than agitates slow for a few seconds, and repeats. On last spin, I stop and put the setting to High spin on another wash setting. On the delicate spin its to slow and leaves too much water on cover.
Than I throw it in the dryer.
Of course I wash and dry one cover at a time. I have washed them many times over the years, never a problem

If you use one of those laundrymat washers of the commercial type, front load, I don't think it makes a differents on what setting you use it at, since it don't have a center agitater.

I heard NOT to use a dryer, but to let it hang dry.
I have not done it yet, but it was also recommended to use Simple Green in a commercial washer after the water is full and rinse twice.

I have a California Car Cover and I believe the washing instructions say to use Fantastic as the cleaning agent. It also says to use a commercial type washing machine. Don't know about drying but I would think hang dry would be the best.

Commercial type because of the agitater in the domestic type washer. Thats why I use the delicate setting for my Calif. car covers with no problem for as far back as 1980's. That deli. setting barely moves the agitater and very slowly for a only seconds at a time. On my Whirlpool washer anyway.
