Should the size and shape of ports be matched? When dealing with heads to headers? I have large oval port heads and the headers im looking at are round. Make a big diff? Also wondering if these would clear the floors and steering column ok. Ive never put full lengths on before, not sure what kind and if any problems will come up. Just didnt see "chevelle" on there fitment... so I dont know.

Phil

those are truck headers, summits website is a pain sometimes. it doesnt list the coated chevelle header. but if you know the part numbers you can find it.

the uncoated header for your car is #85110

dynomax uncoated (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=esearch.asp&N=100&Ntk=PartSearch&Ntt=wlk-85110&x=25&y=6)

the ceramic coated is #86110

dynomax ceramic coated (http://store.summitracing.com/default.asp?target=esearch.asp&N=100&Ntk=PartSearch&Ntt=wlk-86110)

as far as the header size, 1 3/4 is what you need. Chris aka mr4speed is using them, and a certain guy that used to post here runs well into the 10s with them.

Thanks Brandon,
Yeah Summit sometimes gives a little hell on the site navagation. It would be cool if you could shop by vehicle like some sites, kragen has a nice little site. You dont know the PN for a set just like these but in non full length do ya? smile.gif

If you don't use full length headers, you may as well use cast iron exhaust manifolds from a performance point of view.
