dynomax hemi super turbos.. yeah I blow one out every 3 years, and they are huge so not sure on the fit on a 67 (20" case, pretty wide and at least a few inches tall) but they showed exactly the same hp/torque as some very small 'ultra high performance' mufflers that made the motor sound like some sort of bastard nascar motor. The do an excellent job at muffling the sound, are pretty cheap, and suitable for 550+hp (at least in my 3" config) . that being said, at idle they are normal, but since I added my x-pipe people have told me they can't hear the car down the street from 700'. With true duals, I used to be good for a mile..
I like them, just not too crazy about the fiberglas shooting out the tailpipe every few years.
I bet the summit turbos are similiar, can't say I've used/heard them before.
I'd upload my pre-xpipe idle video clip with my new w/ x-pipe clip, but I can't seem to get the old video clip to work right (was taken on a digital camera..)

flowmasters just don't do it for me. I also don't care very much for magnaflows, but it seems like they have more of a mustang following. I guess the flowmaster 40's would work, but if it were left to me, the dynomax hemi super turbos, if not the 20" case ones, the smaller ones. the 20" case is a *big* muffler..

The 40 series do sound great but the interior noise was to much for me. I switched to the Dynomax ultraflos, still sound good on take off but idle and cruise much quieter!

Borla Turbo mufflers. They are a little pricey, but they sound great.

I think spintech makes a nice sounding muffler..its different, but its not.in a way, although I've only heard them on Ford engines, and they sound nicer anyways.. :D

the dynomax hemi turbo is the quietest best performing muffler you can get. Jim Hahn tested this on his GTO. Serch around and you'll find the results.

They are pretty big, but i've got them on a 85 vette.

Spin techs are loud IMO. They were tested back to back with my dynomax hemi super turbos on the engine dyno w/ my headers and x. No power difference @ 560hp running alt., wat pump, & my full exhaust. The alt/wat pump/exhaust uses about 25hp if the dyno test of the cam before this was valid. (old cam made 537 on this dyno w/ the exhaust/accessories), and like 565 on a different dyno w/ just the motor and dyno headers.
I thought the spin techs were too loud. Small muffler though, they might have a quieter model.
I wonder how much power I was eating at the track with the residual power valve squeezing my rear discs.. yes I am that dumb graemlins/clonk.gif
Spin techs had a unique sound though. that being said I don't like loud mufflers so the spin techs may be perfect for someone looking for a different tone to their exhaust.

I would check out the Pypes brand of mufflers. I bought the Goerlich Xlerator mufflers for my 65 from these guys and they were dead on about how they would sound. Here's the Pypes webpage:
http://www.pypesexhaust.com/mufflers.html
and Goerlich's
http://www.goerlichs.com/product_sub_pages/products_xlerator.asp
The owner of Pypes sometimes answers posts here on Team Chevelle, ccas is his username I believe.

Give them a call, they will have something to suit your taste!

I like my Flowtech terminators...sound a LOT like a turbo muffler but they can't blow out
