this picture is what my chevelle looked like when my father bought it for $2500 from some dude in canby, ny. i think...i know it was down there south of ithaca somewhere in god's country. anyways, this was taken probably ten years ago...pretty sure he bought it in spring of '98. it had a maroon bench up front and a black back seat, and was pretty ragged out. sooo much has changed...the biggest being that NOW it definitely will not float, if you know what i mean. beyond that, buckets, floor shifter, headliner, carpet, etc.
it made me stop and remember for a minute. i remember, i was in college, one evening my old man called and when i said hello, all i heard was thunder coming out of those pipes. i knew exactly who and what it was. that was so cool. he deserved it, and just...well...finally. yeah, its been 4 years or so, since he passed, and i miss him every frikkin day, but i was smiling like a kid in a candy store when i found this picture.
