The original wiper motor off my '66 car was sn 5045325. Somewhere I have a reference that states the '66 wiper motor was sn 4914507.

I also have a '67 wiper 5045430(I think) and another wiper sn 5045492. Anyone know which sn was correct? Thanks

That matches with what I've seen listed for a '67. Still looking for verification on '66 wiper motor part numbers.

Both the 66 & 67 AIM call for the same wiper, #5045430, and is the entire assembly; #4914507 is just the linkage.

I have the 5045492 on my car and I really don't think it's ever been replaced, it looks aged and if it had been replaced, I'd probably have the service reciept.
The aim however calls for the 5045430 which replaced the 5045425 or the 5045470 which replaced the 5045453.
So....... not sure there's just one definitive answer.:)

I have a 5045430 on my 1966 chevelle. I have a 5045430 & a 5045453 on the shelf in the garage as well as one that has no numbers on it. That one must be a remanufactured or replacement part. I may have another one in the basement somewhere. I wonder what that one is?

Does anyone have photos of how the wiper trans is attached. I bought my 67 in in a "disassembled" state.

5045430 in my 66. believe all wiring and electrical componets to be original; except for plugs & wires, battery & cables, and a few bulbs.

JC396: should be a good illustration in the AIM UPC 1 A3 in my 66 manual
