Don't know if this is old news or new news but you can go to rottenneighbor.com and find out if there are any registered sex offenders in your neighborhood. I had a couple but the closest was at least three miles away. Doesn't hurt to know what kind of creeps live near you and your children!!!!!!!

Heard about it but never used it. Looked up my area and no rotten neighbor posts or anything BUT just found out that three houses down there is a sex offender (I checked this prior but nothing showed on the sex offender registry) that was busted for one count of forced sodomy on a party under 16, forced oral copulation on a party under 16....guy looks to be fairly well off, nice house.....had no clue. My wife shoots well (well enough to scare me personally) and have an 80 lb pitbull that says I dont have to worry but its good to know and now she's on alert. Always taught her to shoot first, ask Q's later and she packs heat when she goes on walks with the dog. Not really needed as its a good neighborhood but you NEVER know.

Beaux: No offense to your wife but it sounds like the guy is interested in someone a little younger than your wife, probably not interested in the opposite sex either. Isn't it a shame your wife feels that it is necessary to carry a weapon when walking in her own neighborhood?:sad:

Those are the words, the reason you need to be prepared. I have forced this into my Wifes head for years, and She is always on guard and very wise where ever she goes..

how does that help..
only makes u live in fear..
as seen as that list can't tell you if a person will or will not harm you..
and as seen as list like that make peoples lifes a living hell.
I think the acuzer need to have to take a lie detector test first...
as I saw first hand a friend g/f lie because her daddy said not to date my friend..
and after 2 years, daddy found out..
she cried rape..
now mind you they dated for 2 years and both the same age..
but he was sent to jail and his life will never be the same, all because of daddies little girl lie'n to save face with her daddy..
and this goes on more than we all would like to believe..
if you acuze a person of rape/child mol/etc
you should have to take a lie detector test in front of a judge, first before you ,pritty much kill another persons life, forever...
seems only fair,
cauze if they are not lie'n they have nothing to fear from that machine

Doesnt suck to carry (its a .32 beretta so its not a chore to take it) and she only does it because I have instilled in her what my family has instiilled in me since day 1 - NEVER be a victim.

The way the world and kids are today (not to mention that Police by their very nature are a reactive force -"Ok, lets find out who killed this lady, tell her family how sorry we are for their loss and then we can turn em over to the DA so he can put em in jail for 10 years") shootings, robbings, killings and not just in BAD places anymore.....well, shes just where I have always been at this time - the world is nuts and if the world is nuts you have to be prepared. And if you find yourself in a gunfight holding a knife then you have simply failed to prepare. ;)

She only takes the pistol when she is walking at night by herself. And I mean dark at night and thats usually only if I am out of town on business and the dogs have to be walked after she gets home.
