Thank you, Jim. Very nice of you to post. If I may make a couple of clarifications...the award the car won was an AACA First Place Junior Award. The car had been previously shown at NCOA and ACES events, but this was it's first AACA showing.

We didn't receive a "letter of Recognition", but rather we were told to be expecting an invitation letter to participate in National Recognition. Not only was this the car's first AACA showing, but mine too, so as a Newbie I am not exactly clear on what that means, so will need to do a little research to figure that out.

And yes, the 66 will be proudly stabled next to the LS5. The LS5 won it's Grand National Award in 2006 rather than 2004. Both of these cars were purchased already restored to this fine level of correctness, we did not do the restorations ourselves so we certainly can not take the credit...but I will say we are very proud to own both of them!

:thumbsup::thumbsup:

Decent lookin car.. I know that I know it from somewhere. :D

The invite is one I am very familiar with myself.. in a nut shell.. they will ask you to take some exteremely nice 35mm photos.. one from each corner.. total of 5 I think.. you send them in.. nothing more, nothing less.. and then AACA judges them/ the car for one of about 20 or so... cars they pick as more or less Best of the Best ( I love the phrase ) from this year's winners in AACA. There is more to it then that.. but suffcice to say.. It is Quite and Honor!! I have always considered that to be one of my finest Feathers in the cap.
