TCSS1970 Jun 29th, 08, 12:31 AM Caution!!! Big blocks generally don't taste well and are hard to digest! Also if you get thru one or two you will be bloated and not want anymore. And hey your little mouse looks pretty good.:D
Dave Jun 29th, 08, 12:37 AM Man, I hated My Camel hump heads. No bolt holes for the alternator, what was GM, thinking?

Tammy's camaro just has little'ol cammel hump heads on the 350 and it made pretty good power on the chassis dyno. Done properly, they can make decent power. I just got lucky I guess.
Dave Jun 29th, 08, 10:48 PM Ya gonna paint that Beast? Ya know it's worth a few Ponies.:D
FourEightyNine Jun 29th, 08, 10:54 PM Darryl can you tell if those are aftermarket rod bolts?
FRYNTYR Jun 29th, 08, 11:02 PM Small journal 327, steel crank, and it looks to have aftermarket rod bolts. Not sure about the pistons as the pic is a little blurry but if they took the time to put good rod bolts in i'm sure they are forged pistons.
They appear to have the centering hole in the end of the bolt to measure bolt stretch when torqueing with the stretch method, this is only on aftermarket bolts in these applications. It also appears to have shouldered rod bolt nuts, which are also after market indications.

Man, all that from a pic:eek: Can you tell how much change the guy that torqued the bolts had in his pocket??
