Dennis Strawley Nov 15th, 99, 7:27 PM Putting in my new engine, 350 with 350HP, 350 trans. I drained all the fluid from the trans and converter. What things should I be aware of when first starting up car. Should I fill the converter with oil before putting back together, or will that happen automatically once the car is started? I heard that you should run the car in neutral for awhile to get everything flowing. Any input???? Ragtop sent me this via AIM: TH-350- 10qt Th-400- 9.5 qt. PG- 11 qt (thats off the top of my head.) After the 20 minutes at 2000 rpm, I let it cool down and bolt up the trans and get it topped off with oil and then go back and set timing, idle speed, ect.
