Whats the best way to go from 1/2" tubeing to a -8 an fitting?

IM thinkin I could just double flare a 1/2" npt fitting on it and use a 1/2" npt female female adpater then a 1/2" npt to -8 adapter.

They make a tube nut that will do this for you. You need a 37 deg flare tool though. Put on the tube nut and ferrule, and flare it with a 37 deg flare, and you can attatch it to any male -8 fitting. You can do it with less adapters this way.

I just pushed the -8 over the 1/2 inch line and double clamped it,not pretty but no leaks in 9 years.I ran the hard line under the car where you can't se it and the -8 up into the engine compartment.

if your using aluminum line..you dont need the 37º flare tool...just use a normal flare tool ..the tube nut will flatten out the flare enuff
