First off I am a complete rookie when it comes to the suspension.
What are the gains of tubular control arms vs stock other than I assume the weight? I came across a guuy selling a pair from Global West for pretty cheap and figured it would be worth checking out.
Thanks guys!

Some allow a more positive caster setting and some are needed to install a tall spindle/larger disc brake conversion.

Also, they are brand new, and will be solid from a strength perspective.

Primary advantage is they should have some Castor factored in (top ball joint should be back slightly from stock). Do you have power steering? If so some Castor will imrove the drivability

I put some old hotchkis uppers on my 64 along with big(12 inch) brake caddy spindle's,no more uneven wearing tires, great steering response and easly repaced parts.
It was one of the best mods(relatively cheap also:hurray:) that I have done to the car,it's no trans am car but it made it feel like one.
Find out what Globlel west arms they are as there is a couple different genarations/models-I think there was a non big spindle model made so find out first.
I personally think the GlobalWest arm are better than my old Hothkiss arms
and way above the worn out flimsy 40 plus year old originals.

What's cheap? Otherwise look into SPC adj. ones.

He wanted $100 for the pair. They were the Gen 1's he said. I think I'm gonna pass on em because I'm not ready to do the whole suspension set up yet.
thanks for the info guys!
