My 72 has the factory tach and full gauges (those micro round ones). Several questions:

1) Any 3rd party makers of replacement gauges (incl tach) with WHITE faces? Failing white, how about black?

2) If I can't find a drop in tach, can I get my tach calibrated, I think it's way off.

Thanks in advance.

I just installed a fact gauge set in my 70 model to replace the idiot lamps. No, no one seems to make an exact replacement gauges although the previous owner of my car had removed the lamps and installed aftermarket gauges in their places. They didn't look too great although they fit.

My tach appears to be weak or lazy-came from a junkyard car, guess it sat too long. it reads about 500 rpm at idle when it really is 700. Then it doesn't respond quickly or accurately at all. There is a company in South Carolina that repairs tachs. Try www.tachman.com.
