I have been working on a 72 Elky since sept. and have finally got it finished enough to make a shake down run. This has been a major project for me, what with the wife bitching about ALL I ever do is work on that dumb car. Its story is... I wrecked my 84 vette in Aug. at the track, it was running 7.2-7.3 in the 1/8mi. still tunning for the 6.'s the engine/trans (385/700r4) from the vette and anything else I could use went into the Elky. With reading the posts here has made putting the Elky together much easier (suspension, gears Body work tire fitment) and I thank you all
So wish me luck

Good luck at the track. One of our tracks has been open or tried to open since the first of Feb.,the home track opens next weekend and I'll be there weather permitting. Its finally warm enough so I can get out there and install the Crane Golds, and wash and wax since the paint job :D

It was not a good and bad day
The good was the Elky ran straight and stable and felt strong
The bad it only ran a 7.9 with a 1.8 60'
I do expect more with tuning
Mike
