I will be converting my '64 396 to serpentine drive soon. I will have a early 90's camaro power steering pump after the conversion. Currently I have manual steering. I was looking at a power steering gear from a 1970 firebird, but have been reading the GC conversion topics and it sounds like a good swap.

I will have to get a power pitman arm either way, I guess lines would be easier with the GC box as the PS pump should have metric fittings like the GC box. Will have to track down a truck rag joint if I go with the GC box however.

Decisions, decisions.

Does anyone know if the GC box would be much better than a 1970 firebird box?
