Anyone have any experience w/a Weiand cast iron water pump? Good, bad, indifferent? Long style, BBC. I did a search and found more info on Stewart pumps.

I had a Weiand cast iron pump on a .100 over 454 with a 4 core radiator. Was in a 4-wheel drive 1 ton truck though. Had a 4 core radiator and drove in Mississippi in the summer{ 95-100 degrees} in the woods idling and NEVER offered to run over 180 degrees with a 180 degree thermostat. I don't think you could go wrong using that pump.

I've seen some aluminum water pumps where if you order a 'long style' pump, they ship you basically a short pump with spacers. Beware of those.
