Any one added and aftermarket AC system like Vintage Air? If so how do you like it? Pro's and con's?

Thanks!

I have a Classic A/C system in my Malibu I installed it a little over a year ago and it works very good. No real complaints to speak of and you get to use your factory controls.

Do a search. You'll find a "boatload" of stuff!

I installed a vintage a/c kit about 3mos ago. I must say it was the easiest most straight forward intallation of any aftermarket kit I have ever done. It works really well providing you move enough air through the condenser. I highly recommend it.

depending on the year it either mounts on the high pressure line right as it exits the firewall on it's way to the inner fender. Or directly to the front top of the filter/ dryer.

Hey Wayne,
First, sorry to hijack the thread. I was wondering about the Vintage Air kit for my 1970 and was wondering about your experience installing it. Do you have some pictures or tips that you might share? Any help would be appreciated.

By all means jack the thread! It's all still on the same topic and I can use any of the tips if I add it to mine!

Hey Jaason,
We may have to get together to see if we can do this together on a car to learn the tricks ourselves. Where is Bowie MD in relation to Hagerstown?

Sounds like a plan. It takes me about an hour maybe an hour and a half depending on traffic to get to Hagerstown. Bowie is between DC and Annapolis, a little South of Baltimore.

I just installed the Classic Air system but have not ran it yet. Not too difficult to install and they offered great customer support. I would not hesitate to go with Classic again. An aftermarket product that actually fits- what a concept.:hurray:
