my oil pressure has been 60lbs hot or cold. reset my hydro valves using the EOIC method. went 1/2 turn. now the oil pressure is 60 cold 40 hot. can anyone explane why this happened. millings m55hv pump-383. thanks Dave

Sounds like you are right where you should be. 60 hot and cold is not right. Maybe gauge problem.

Your oil presure sounds completely normal. It should drop when it is warmed up.40 lbs. is fine. Why didn't you set them with the engine running? My engines always seem to run best with only about a 1/4 turn of preload. You can really hear how your engine responds to valve adjustment when you adjust them with it running.

i tried the engine running, even with an old valve cover with the top removed and oil was going everywhere. plus at my age my hearing is very pour and its hard to hear the slight tic when it first gets loose.
