Ok.. things (problems) to be getting back on track here, and I am starting to think about the velle again.
I am probably going to use harolds reccomendation, maybe buy it in a few weeks, of the 292/302 adv 240/250 @ .050 .600/.600 HR10(12), to replace my 286 @ .006, 230 @ .050 .639 HR12. (460 CID) I was considering a lunati grind w/o reccomendation because of the smaller split (this is my first dual pattern cam), but, I had luck with my first UD cam.
sorry.. I'm excited. I won't be needing to replace springs, they are about the same specs as the comp springs I have in there, and the comp lifters (and springs) were new last winter and only have a few thousand miles on them. I'll replace springs if it seems like a good idea.
What kind of cost would you expect to pay for this sort of thing? I posted on here a while back about doing it myself, and the consensus seemed to be get someone else to do it.
I'd prefer to just drop the car off and come back happy, (winter in NE with no heated garage), but I will pull the engine if it comes down to it, course I'll probably end up buying myself a new radiator again (oops).
I'll be adding a carter 172 to replace my carter 120, I have 1/2 line from the tank, but from pump its 3/8, so expect some questions about AN stuff..
