Is one better than the othere??? or is it all in the looks , i see their ads its to help keep the
gas cooler .on the air gab but is this worth the extra cost . i have been looking at them for my 454 (oval port) ;)

If you are running an oval port open chamber head ,under 620" lift cam, you can't get any better than the weiand stealth intake. I have bench flowed alot of BBC intakes, and this one takes the cake!!!!! GLENN

A Stealth or an non airgap RPM with the GM lifter galley sheild under the intake will be the same as an air gap..and for a lot less money..either way you go,be sure to block off the exhaust crossover to realize the full benefit.

Chris, How do recommend blocking the exhaust crossover. I want to do this the next time I take my Performer RPM off the SBC, but have been hesitant to do it before for fear of leaks.

If the price were the same. RPM and RPM AIR GAP. Which would be the better to use with a lift of more than 620?

Isn't that what those little rectangular metal tabs are that sometimes come in the intake gasket set??

Just install them between the gaskets and the intake at the crossover holes..

At least I think that's how it works b/c I've never used them due to living where it snows and can get really cold at times..

I think our local record is 26F below zero by the thermometer NOT wind chill sorta thing!!!

The rectangular tabs that come with the felpro gaskets clip right into the gasket, they work great.
