I had a similar problem with my '66 12 bolt. My car, in its former life, was an 1/8 mile racer. The rear end had ladder bars welded on a few times and rather poorly at that. The welding had cause the right axle tube on the housing to bow slightly from the differential housing to the end of the axle tube. My posi unit and bearings were wiped because of it. Luckily I found a local guy that wanted a challenge and it got repaired.

Do you know how to correctly set up a rear end? I am not assuming you don't I just wondered.
The other thing to look at would be a bent axle making things wear faster.

Id say bent axle tube. Not all that uncommon on a 40+ year old car.

are the bearing braking up, and the seal leaking, if that is what happening, then check the axle shaft is it worn out, are you getting the right parts, try using those helper bearing they ride on a different spot on the axle, make sure you fuild level is right, your post is not giving enough detail, what weight grease are you using, you need to paint us all a good picture, then we could all better help you with your problem,
