The bottom corner of the hood (original 70 Chevelle cowl induction) kicks over towards the fender on the drivers side when raised. I noticed this problem when I aligned everything prior to painting, so I sent the hinges out to be reworked. I followed Martinsr's instructions and have the hood aligned nicely, but still have this problem. Any ideals?

if you remove the hood latch do the seams still align? I had this same issue and found that the hinges were not aligned but the hood latch would pull teh hood into alignment.

This may sound crazy but I solved my problem finally by standing in front of the hood and gently but firmly, self aligning the hood by hand. It worked for me.
