That pump sounds good, I wonder how long it would last in a street car.

It's going to put a lot of pressure {no pun intended} on traditional high-end pump designs, including electric units. Can hardly wait for a BB unit.

!st problem i see is the fact that theres going to be a clearance problem with headers, etc.

Look at the picture again. It looks like it is very much clear of headers. They even say it's smaller than the conventional design. Very cool!

Looks like this might solve my fuel pump clearance problem. Seems that no one makes an aftermarket mechanical h/p pump that fits a s/b in a 70-72 Monte. Guess I could go with an electric pump but that one does have a way cool factor! Might give them a call tomorrow. Maybe they will let me test one at no charge LOL!!

A big block version is due out in about 6 months, I'm on their mailing list.

aeromotive has a new pump coming out, not sure of the price, more of a traditional style

Piston pump is a very old style design. They are designed to pump nearly any type of oil/fluid/paste with minimal problems. Only down side is a ring/packing in pump.

Sounds good (and simple). But that pricepoint might be too much for a carbed car. EFI application would be thinking outside the box.
