I've got a "For Sale" sign in the window of my matching numbers restored '70 SS El Camino. I'm on the hunt for a C-1 "Vette and if I find a buyer for the Elky, I can buy the "Vette. If not, I'll be delighted to continue driving and showing the Elky.

The problem that I'm having is that there are not a lot of the "general public" that knows or appreciates what a matching numbers big block muscle car is all about.

What do you say to the average joe that doesn't have a clue but asks 'what are you asking for it?" I don't want to be rude, but what do you say to the uninformed who is looking for a $5,000 buy and doesn't have a clue?

Not really sure what to say to the average Joe, but if you put a price on the for sale sign, he won't have to ask. By putting just a for sale sign on it, your asking for tire kickers.

I'd Ebay it nationwide and throw the For Sale Sign in the trash.

The people who appreciate these cars "The Enthusiasts" will never drive by it.

No, it's more or less a casual effort. One of those "I do and I don't" kind of things. It's really a great car and I and my wife really enjoy it but I thought if the right offer came along.........

it's always been my opinion that an unpriced vehicle is too high. there is a trade paper in St. Louis that won't take an unpriced ad.

Maybe you should put it on here For Sale. You will be showing it to a group of people that can appreciate it and have knowledge.
