Geez, these guys didn't just win the championship, they SPANKED Kobe and the Lakers! That was some pretty suffocating defense they played. The best part was that it was a true team effort.

even michael jordan, needed a team. people putting all thier faith in kobe is pretty foolish. yes, he's a phenominal player, but basketball over the last few years has lost a lot....one marquee player on a team, and not much else. the celtics showed, that even considered too old of a team by many, that a good team, can beat a great player. i'm not a celtics fan, but i stopped watching the lakers when they let shaq go. i'm glad the "old guys" kicked ass, and now it'll start all over again, kobe will want to be traded, want the coach fired, blah, blah, blah. he's a whiner, always has been, always will be......

I watched the last 5 minutes, usually that's all those games are good for. Anyway, I hated the way the lady commentator was all in KJ's grille while he was trying to get his MANCRY on!

What about the 12 people who got arrested after the game for breaking store windows, etc? Fans anymore; I just don't understand them...

I was thinking the same thing. Here we go, Kobe is going to be whining all through the off-season. Lakers were an embarrassment last night :o . Wonder who Kobe will blame for the loss? Been a big Lakers fan all my life, but can't stand whiners.

Never understood the "hey we won, lets go break stuff, loot businesses, burn cars, start a day-long riot on city streets!" Stupid morons. Good thing the Lakers didn't win, there would have been another riot in Los Angeles.

The Pistons did it years ago too: solid team effort and DEFENSE and no one could touch them. What don't modern basketball team owners/managers get about this? You want a reliable formula for winning, build a TEAM and play some defense instead of spending all your funds on one marquee player that will likely bring more trouble than wins.

I really can't stand to watch any pro sports anymore aside from some non-NASCAR racing now and then. Too much business and unneeded "look at me" crap and not enough SPORT and sportsmanship.

I expected more of a game from the Lakers. They just quit after the second quarter. The whole team, including the coach, quit. I've never seen that in a championship game in any sport. I respect Kobe's talent but not Kobe.

X3.... More and more anymore. Seems they are just in it for the money and not for the game. Look at football from the 1950 to the 1980's; it was all about the game, heck most were being paid less then 100k and most players were nice on and off the field. Today it's only about the money for most players anymore and they all act like Kobe.... I was at a baseball game and a kid asked one of the players if he could sign the ball he just caught; the player acted like a total A$$... I stopped going to games because of that; it took all the fun out of it.

Rak,
You should be a fan of the Cowboys then, Romo and T.O. play for the fun of it.:D
Kevin Burnett even came over and signed autographs for everyone that waited for him. He got all the kids first, then the adults.

So T.O has changed since moving from SF to Dallas; he was an jerk when he played for SF. Wow, he's human again..... Cool.

Yet another great player that began thier career in Minnesota then moved on to bigger and better things. In the case Kevin Garnet.
