I have decided not to go with a roller cam, the cost is going to be too high, I have narrowed my choice to 2 cams, the trusty UDHarold 288/296 402A7 solid or the new Voodoo Hyd cam 60205 284/292 241/249@.050 572/590 list on a 110 LSA.
The motor is 468, 10.5 to 1 Comp, 049's large valve's mild porting, I shoot 150 shot of N2O with a RPM Air Gap and a 850 Holley. 10" BTE converter to a 400 turbo with 4.10's, I really like a solid cam and don't mind adjusting valve's, The Voodoo cam sounds pretty hot but I am afraid I will be giving up some HP due to it being a Hyd lifter cam. Thanks for any suggestions David

David, VooDoo or not, I'd highly encourage you to stick to your 'intuition' and stay with a solid grind. You'll get better driveability and , possibly, performance from it, certainly easier rpm capability ( with only 130/340 spring pressures), and cam oiling. Plus, you can tweak the cam via different lash settings.

Wondered whether Lunati will have Harold do up some new gen solid grinds. That combo sounds quite 'wicked' and deserves a solid VooDoo!(and possibly the old grind would wax the new hyd grind - and not sure he can actually say that being where he is.)

David,

427L88 knows what he is talking about. The VooDoo 241/249 would work good in your combo, but it would not beat the 402A7.
I have designed, and made, a 290/298( at .016"!) solid, with 257/265 at .050", and .632/.632 gross valve lift. However, until dyno-testing, etc, it will not be released for sale, and I don't expect it to be out before the late spring.
