My 72 Chevelle needs new shocks, and I decided to change the springs to lower the car.

Right now its higher in the front than in the back.

The springs that I have seen is 1 or 2" lower than stock.

I want the car to be level or even a bit higher in the back, would I need to drop it more in the front than in the back?

Was the 72 Chevelle lever or higher in the front from the factory?

Could any post pic. of your Chevelle so I can get an Idea what it would look like with 1 or 2 " drop?

Thanks

I have a 66 chevelle and the oe springs made the car sit high in the front. I also dont like the stance if the front end sits higher. I just took the springs out and cut about 1 3/4" of the springs. Now it sits perfectly level.

would 2" drop in the front make any problems with ground clerance for the hedders?

We sell a lot Hotchkis springs and shocks. Nice 1" drop, still a "factory rake", and a good ride out of a great spring and shock combo that is firm but does not knock you teeth out.

Hotchkis quality is excellent and consistant.

You can check out a 67 we finished a little while ago with a TVS kit. Look for Bruce's red Chevelle in the projects section, I think it has the perfect stance.
