i have a 454 in my 72 velle and im trying to figure out if it was a good casting the numbers i pulled where 861859 but it might also be 361959 i also got T0609TSF from the front of the block any info would be help full. ive tried searching it and mortec wasnt that helpfull

Is this about the same thing you found?

As long as the block is rebuildable(not already bored .060 or more) you have a keeper. It's possibly a 4 bolt, look at the oil filter housing and see what size pipe fittings are there. It's not a for sure check but it can give good clues without tearing the pan off.
