: What's the lowest gear for a 2-series carrier?

i am assuming the stock one is a 273, however i wonder if anyone makes a thicker gear for get it down to the 3's?
or do you have to use spacers to make a 3 gear work?

A lot of companies offer a thick ring gear to mount a 3 series gear on a 2 series carrier. Much stronger than a spacer setup.

it is a chevy car 12-bolt.
who are the companies that offer the thicker ring gears?

Dont think they make "thick" gears for 2 series carriers 12 bolts? At least I didīnt find anyone. Think you have to use a spacer, but if you have plenty of power it might be a better idea to buy a 3 series posi instead.
