I've followed the recent Windstar fan(s) thread. Any Windstar "tranplants" into air conditioned vehicles, out there? I have a factory style 4 row radiator, and a 540 on the stand. Will the Star' fans properly cool such an engine, ..while running the ac? Thanks!

Do you like the windstar fans for the OEM look, or for the price? You've probably got a good amount of money in that 540. As much as I like the windstar fans, I would not feel comfortable suggesting them for that motor unless you went to the dealer and got a new set.
I do honestly believe that they would cool it, but if your used or chinese built fans quit running, you may end up with a really expensive boat anchor. Most of us running star' fans don't have the amount of cash wraped up in the motor that you do. Although I wish I had that problem!:D
If it were mine I would go with a higher end cooling system to match the motor. If you don't have the money for that, wait until you do. JMO

Believe it or not, the price and maybe freeing up a few hp. I'm switching from a sb to a bb, ... so at a minimum I'll need a different fan shroud if retaining the OEM style fan and clutch. Just exploring the options. This is for me, a "once in a life time shot" at going fast, and I'm definitely not a youngster. But, unfortunately, ... budgeting is still a must.

Thanks. I definitely spent sometime planning this before the buying started. I'm fortunate that it was my dad's car, never modified, (till now), ...and that it never left the family.
